Converse Love ...

I bought these CONVERSE  " sneakers"  earlier in the year and couldn't be more pleased with them except...

I always refer to them as "sneakers" in quotes because they are structurally more ballet-flat than athletic-shoe. I've had several painful experiences in which I leapt from tall structures (don't ask why) expecting a soft landing, only to regret immediately not making a more prudent descent.

The rubber sole offers sufficient support for walking but is ill-suited for wall scaling and building hopping.

Most reviews recommend sizing down in Converse sneakers; while I could've gone down half a size in length, my average-to-wide feet would probably find the width too narrow in a smaller size.

Aside from being fairly comfortable, these shoes are slip-on (the laces are decorative) and have an elastic pull tab at the heel for ease of wearing.

Paco Rabanne Black Xs For Her Eau De Toilette Review

Its the turn today to review Black XS by Paco Rabanne  Eau de toilette for women. I am a sucker for fruity and floral fragrances, and citrus of course (I guess there’s no one who would dislike tangy fragrances).  Last month, I had picked up two fragrances – Issey Miyake and Paco Rabanne Black XS – both belonging to the fruity-floral classification.

Product Description:

A fragrance with many contrasts, innocent and sensual. A rock and roll style, a feminine signature in the segment of audacity. She is a stunning rebel princess who breaks the rules and habits. It’s a mysterious and sensuous fragrance.

Paco Rabanne Black XS For Her comes in a black and purple glass bottle with a rose figure embossed on the glass. Its quite a good packaging and the dark hues add to the mystery. As commonly seen in floral-fruity fragrances, the base notes are vanilla along with a woody note. Its a dark scent, a wintery scent, good for evening wear. This is quite an uncomplicated perfume with its notes clear cut, majorly fruity with a hint of spice. This fragrance will appeal only to a few, those who like deep fruity notes that hardly change. When you first spray it on, a lot of notes don’t hit you, its only the fruitiness of cranberry with a layer of spice. Its quite a heady mix though and things don’t improve much when the heart notes come along, its rose and black violet which is again sweet, but not at all appealing. The staying power of the fragrance is not that great, around 4 hours, and that’s why I cannot feel the warmth of wood or vanilla. It claims to be a fruity-floral-woody fragrance, but I don’t get much of the woody notes. The sillage is average.

Its not a day wear or office wear kind of fragrance, its a bit unsuitable for office, but its good enough for evening/party wear because of its dark, deep nature.

This one is a good option for cranberry lovers, you would get loads of it here :P Also, it does not create any aura even though it starts on notes that are a bit strong and dark.

Personally for me, the sweetness of cranberry is a bit too much and dominates all other notes and seriously, those who do not like fruity scents, will get a headache. Its not an unique scent, just a routine fruity scent. The staying power is short, and it just vanishes in a few hours. Also, since I cannot detect much the warmth of vanilla or the woods, its a no show. This is suitable for women who love overtly fruity fragrances without the balancing sharp or tangy notes.

How I fell in Love with Daniel Wellington ...

Daniel Wellington – yes at last, I’m writing about this. I have been too busy with my placements schedule and my video blog and couldn’t really take out time to talk about this. So, what is Daniel Wellington?

Daniel Wellington is a Swedish watch brand that deals in some really classy and elegant watches. The story of the Daniel Wellington begins when the founder of the brand goes on a world trip and he finds a guy named Daniel Wellington. Not only he gets impressed by his personality but also he falls in love with his watches that consisted of old NATO strips.
So, Mr. Founder goes on to start his own brand with the name of the same guy Daniel Wellington. Well, that seems a pretty good story for me. But does that really matter? No.

What matters to me is the product? I was surfing over the web when I stumbled upon a blog that talked of Daniel Wellington watches. In fact, many of the travel bloggers I follow prefer these watches. And that’s how I decided to visit their website and check out their collection.
And as soon as the web page of their site loaded, I fell in love with the brand. The watches were exactly how I like – very simple but very stylish. Now, I really wanted one of them. And so started my struggle to contact the people and ask them to send me a watch if possible. And luckily, those people not only responded but also offered me to choose a watch for myself. Another add-on I got is that apart from the review, they allowed me to keep the watch. Yes, forever!
