Chanel No 5

“What do I wear in bed? Why, Chanel No 5,of course”  -Marilyn Monroe

Marilyn Monroe said this for Chanel No 5 perfume.Every one of you would have heard about this perfume. Coco Chanel claims that this perfume is the fragrance of women. All the women around the world will stand by it since its launch in 1921. Is it really that good? Why is this EDP so loved by women from past 3 generations? Here’s my review on the legendary perfume, Chanel no. 5 to help you decide whether its worth the hype or not.

I had heard so much about this perfume and fancied wearing it for a long time. Atlast I bought this perfume when I was in Milan about an year ago. When I was testing various chanel perfumes, the mau spayed chanel no 5, I went insane (literally). It smelled so feminine, instantly I bought the perfume, it was really an investment for me.
I have a craze for perfumes, body lotions, creams which smell feminine. It makes me feel really good. If you are a person who likes young, energetic, fruity flavours, you might not like to wear it but sure you will love it on others. I can go on and on about this perfume and how special it is to me. So, now I sum up the pros and cons of chanel no 5.

Will I buy it again? Ofcourse, I will.

My final verdict: Chanel No.5 EDP Perfume for Women is great. I would recommend it for every women in her 20s and above. Its not for younger girls because it has a mature fragrance. Also it is an attention grabber. Wear it on your date, sure you will get compliments for the way you smell. Its more of an evening fragrance but you can wear it to work too. Chanel no 5 has a bath products range too. And many online stores offer discount on the price of Chanel no 5 EDP perfume.

Valentino World

Hey lovelies ! I just received the most amazing heels Valentino Rockstuds from
LUISAVIAROMA online boutique

Im so happy I received these little sweeties. Months ago I had ordered a pair in white color, and now Im so excited for my Pink Pair.

I was a little confused into bying them or not because of their price ( 900$) but they are so amazing so I couldn't resist.
Hands down, these are the most comfortable pair of heels I own. I can actually stand for hours, the criss-crossing back straps don't cut into my heel, and my toes aren't squished like sardines in a can.
They are classy and will always make you look stunning.
There is no better review than trying them on by yourself.
Im happy to say that 900 were worth it.
Glad I have 2 pairs in my wardrobe now.

What do you think of Asos?

A few weeks ago, I had a party to go to and no new dress to wear. My friend told me to check out ASOS , which if you don't know, is a site famous for selling clothes that are 'in the style of x celebrity' and also clothes from a few UK high street brands (like Oasis, French Connection and Mina).
So after spending some time on it, I didn't know what to think about it. Because
a) ASOS has no physical store and you never know how the clothing item is like in real life until you've actually felt it.
b) The prices are high-street prices, meaning very affordable. This again, makes me very suspicious of how the clothes would look and fit.
c) I've heard mix reviews from friends. A few of my friends said the clothes were decent, and one wasn't a fan of the quality.
d) If I wanted to return the clothes, I would have to mail them back. Talk about inconvenient and the extra cost involved!

These two black dresses are classy and stylish. The quality looks decent too. I especially like the sequinned one.

The red dress is quite cute, and the silver, sequinned dress is perfect for this party season!

Kiehl's review

How is everybody doing? It’s been a long time since my last post, but I have been checking all the product reviews and articles that are being posted on the blog. Today, I am reviewing Midnight Recovery Concentrate from Kiehl's .  Well, I have a soft corner for the brand Kiehl’s.  All their products are natural and organic, as you all know. I really wanted to try this product for a long time. It has won so many awards (22 international awards, can you imagine : o ???) since it has been introduced in the market. Today here I am, finally bought it : )

Main Ingredients:

Evening Primrose Oil: Evening Primrose Oil is an effective on skin barrier repair and boosting radiance.

Lavender Essential Oil: Lavender Essential Oil helps soothe inflamed or irritated skin while helping reduce skin blotchiness for a more even look. Creates a brighter and more radiant look to skin.

Squalane: A signature Kiehl’s ingredient, Squalane is a botanical lipid that is similar in molecular structure to natural skin lipids. It has an exceptional affinity to skin, and because it’s easily absorbed, Squalane helps restore skin’s natural moisture balance to keep it extra soft and supple. And all other ingredients, you can see in the pictures posted.

SheInside Review !

As mentioned in last week’s post , today I’m going to follow up on my review of SheinsideIn general I’m really happy with their service and product and will probably purchase from them again. Both cardigans I ordered are ‘one size fits all.’ I know that sounds impossible, but I could totally see them fitting multiple sizes. The gray lapel cardigan fits big on me, a little over-sized  but still works . The tribal pattern cardigan fits in the arms and shoulders but the draping is kinda long… but then again still works. You see what I mean? In general, I think both of these pieces could work on someone who’s an XS and likes things a bit over-sized (me) and even someone who wears a medium.
The quality is good for the price. I say comparable to Urban Outfitters… As far as the shipping, it took quite a long time, but went pretty smoothly. From order date to delivery, it took 18 days. The confirmation information on their website was kinda confusing, so I emailed their support and was pleasantly surprised when I received a quick response. Monica gave me the proper confirmation link and number and was extremely helpful.

Not bad, right? Honestly, their products and customer service exceeded my expectations. If you’ve been hesitant, I’d say go for it. They have way too many cute things at great prices to not give it a try.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask away in the comments. Also, if you’ve ordered from them before, I’d love to hear about your experience

Rimmel Provocalips - photos, swatches, review!

Oooh this is a good one today folks!  Launching October 6th are the Rimmel Provocalips Transfer Proof lipsticks and I've got 7 of the 8 shades available to show you up close and personal.   And they're good...  Really good...  So good, they were allowed to have their photo taken on my lips cushion!

This 2 step lip system promises to be kiss proof, transfer proof and fool proof.  That's a lot of proof.  But let's talk details.  On one end of the tube is the lip colour part which is a thin yet incredibly pigmented runny lip lacquer more so than a lipstick and on the other is a silicon feeling topcoat that seals the lip colour without changing the colour or finish of it at all.   I think the top coat is supposed to make the colour more glossy, but I can't see a difference and I like that to be honest.  It shows off the lip colour in it's true form.

For the most part, these were an absolute dream to apply.  As I mentioned above, the coloured part is quite runny, but still densely pigmented, so I'd advise removing some of the extra product by scraping it off the side of the tube before getting to work on your lips.  The doe foot applicator means you can get a nice crisp line and when it goes on, it feels like a lip lacquer.  It's important to work quickly with this because it sets in under a minute or so.  So while you can, press your lips together to disperse the colour and make sure you've a nice clean edge before you set it with the topcoat.  Before you apply that, you'll feel that your lips are really tacky, but once a layer of the topcoat goes on, all is well and you'll have smooth lips and it'll feel like you're wearing a regular lipstick.

But you're not.  You're wearing something fantastic and for me, these are a game changer and you'll see why below all these here swatches!

MAYBELLINE BABY SKIN INSTANT PORE ERASER REVIEW

I have been eagerly anticipating Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser since September but the good news is that the wait is over and come January which is mere days away this baby (excuse the pun) will launch. The good news is that Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser really does live up to my exceptions and that it is not all that pricey - £7.99/22ml.

Of course Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser will draw comparisons to Benefit's Porefessional - they are both light almost serum like silica based products that create a soft, matte, velvet like finish and help blur imperfections such as fine lines and enlarged pores. However unlike the Porefessional this does not separate on my skin - after a few hours Benefit's version somewhat bobbles and flakes off my skin. Rather I like Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser to Smashbox's Photo Finish Foundation Primer.

Truthfully for the price (£7.99) this is almost impossible to beat and I predict upon its launch it will be an instant hit and quickly become a staple product for a good few. Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser is a clear silky gel that can be applied on bare skin to perfect the natural skin, as a primer for foundation and applied on top of make-up to mattify the skin and fill in pores/fine lines should you wish. In all aspects it does create a matte base, blurs problem areas and helps aid oil control. It does not cling to dry areas rather it softens them and helps any product applied over the top glide on, it also prolongs the wear of products applied on top if used as a primer. When used on naked skin as a stand alone product it creates a natural, soft almost photo-shopped effect - in other words your skin but better.

In terms of minimising pores it does as good a job as any other silicone based primer out there - yes it disguises them and does so with the use of silica to smooth over the skins suffer and fills them in somewhat.

As a regular user of silicone based primers I can happily say that this is one of the best I have used and given the price point of Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser it knocks the other counterparts out of the water. When this launches you simply have to try it out!

Fashion Lover

Topshop is one of those brands I don't have easy access to, but it's been on my list to try for quite some time. Topshop recently reached out to me to try a few items from their makeup line and I was thrilled to get my first look. There are so many gorgeous posts about their lipsticks from many UK bloggers. The items they sent for review included their 3D Curve Mascra, Brighten in Moonlight  ,Kohl Pencil ,Pencil in Coal  and Saint Lipstick.

3D CURVE MASCARA  ($20 for 9.5 ml/0.30 fl oz, made in China) comes in Black with a large brush. I found it did give a multi-dimensional look for my super thin and straight lashes. The color is a pure black and stayed black after it dried (some mascaras tend to look grayish on my lashes once dried). I found it lasted quite well without any smudging but I did get a bit of flaking by the end of the day. If it didn't flake I would give it an A+ rating. My first attempt at taking before/after photos of my lashes below (along top lashes only):

Brighten in Moonlight $14 for 1.5 ml/0.05 fl oz, made in Italy) is a one-shade fits all under-eye concealer. It comes in a twist up tube with a brush applicator. I was worried this would be too pale or pink for my skin, when swatched it looks very light and very pink against my olive skin. However it has a sheer slightly luminous (but without any shimmer) quality to it that blends well with my medium/tan skin. I was really surprised how this brightened the under-eye area. I tend to avoid concealers under the eyes in general since they end up looking too heavy or cakey. This one has enough sheerness to it to even the skin without looking heavy. To apply this, I've been dabbing it under the eye over foundation and set it with powder. It lasts well all day. I'm not sure if this would work on anything darker than a Chanel B40 or MAC NC40 - if you've tried this I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Choies blog review

I recently descovered online clothing store Choies  and decided to pick up some pieces that I really loved. I am a shade freak, so it's no surprise I picked up two sunnies! Anyway, it arrived in literally no time, the packaging was superb, by that I mean, it was packed in three layers, actual sunnies came in a sunglass holders, meaning there was no chance for the items to get broken or damaged. The quality of the products is great, they don't feel or look like cheap plastic/fabric pieces that would break in a week or two.
Personally I would highly suggest to have a peek in the website, it's not too expensive, good quality and the variety of things you can get is beyond amazing. I'm pretty sure whatever is your style, you will for hundred procent find more than one or two pieces that you will want to rock out in.

Christian Louboutin Nail Polish Review

If you can remember back to the 2012 Grammy Awards, Adele walked the red carpet with a manicure that matched her crystal-studded Louboutin shoes. Her manicurist, Mike Pocock, painted the tops of her talon-length nails a twinkling blue and the undersides of them a bold crimson, mimicking the brand’s iconic red soles. Well, on October 13, Christian Louboutin will launch a product you had no idea you needed: a nail-art pen created specifically for painting the underside of you nail, the Loubi Under Red Nail Color Pen.

It looks like all of the brand’s polishes, with a stiletto-shaped handle (that could definitely double as a dangerous weapon). But inside, in place of a polish brush is what looks exactly like a felt-tip liquid liner. The sponge applicator is what makes it easy to scribble the polish on the underside of your nail (minus the mess) or to draw straight, clean lines on top. Unfortunately, mastering the under-mani isn’t nearly as simple.

First off, you need long nails. Not sort-of-long nails—we’re talking talons so long you will won’t be able to type, text, or scratch your nose without causing injury to yourself and others. I only had one nail that I could test this product on, which is when I learned another important tip when using this: You must paint the tops of your fingernails with an opaque polish. Red polish under bare nails, or even a sheer nude, looks like your fingers are bleeding—a fact confirmed by many of my coworkers. Luckily for us, manicurist Madeline Poole created a few exclusive designs for Louboutin (shown above) using the Loubi Under pen that won’t scare away small children.
